We have big ambitions and in order to reach these goals, we need a Head of Operations to join our growing senior management team in facilitating a period of rapid growth through building and operating a world first pilot line and laboratories

Your Role:

You are a people oriented, solution finder with proven experience in operations management. The idea of being a pioneer; helping to build and be part of a friendly, high achieving and awesome team is what gets you going. If you are excited reading this, then we want to hear from you.

You are excited to take full ownership of monitoring, maintaining, and increasing the efficiency of the business from an operational point of view as we scale up. Reporting to and working with the CEO, this critical leadership role will require you to leverage your operational experience of working within a cutting edge, fast-paced environment.

You will manage direct reports across various in-house departments, including Manufacturing, Maintenance, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, HSE and general operations. You will be our glue, the person in the middle.

You will lead and manage the Health and Safety program and work with the Head Office Manager on identifying and enabling the teams’ developments, including recruitment, training management, and disciplinaries.

You will have proven experience of succeeding as part of a smaller team and be curious about innovative ways we can scale efficiently and with confidence so that we can deliver on our world leading ambitions.

What do you bring?

A demonstrable background in senior Operations and/or management roles is essential. Manufacturing and production experience desirable.

· The ability to work cross-functionally across departments to drive business growth and performance.

· Well-versed in world-class manufacturing and project management skills. Able to develop and implement effective LEAN continuous improvement activities such as Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma.

· Experience of implementing Quality management systems, preferably ISO9001

· Experience of managing HSE within a business. Health and Safety certification is desirable with knowledge of the HSE directive.

· Strong organisational, leadership and influencing skills. The ability to lead, drive and implement substantial change whilst ensuring daily operational standards and cadence are maintained.

· A proven track record of driving performance through coaching and collaboration to enable our team to thrive both individually and collectively.

· A passion to build and be part of a kick-ass, cutting-edge team that are going to revolutionise building materials.

· Experience of establishing operational stability across the business through ensuring efficient and scale-appropriate systems and capabilities are in place and maintained through leading on IT.
