Mark has extensive experience in growing and supporting game-changing technology businesses. He brings a successful track record in executive and non-executive / chairman roles as well time spent as an investor in hardware and materials technology business. 

Mark joined Adaptavate at Chairperson in 2022, excited about the potential of the company’s technology to deliver global impact in carbon storage and climate change. He uses his growth experience to support and guide the management team and his extensive board experience to ensure sound governance. 

Away from the office, you’ll find Mark on the water kitesurfing, windsurfing, or sailing and flying just above the water by adding a hydrofoil.

Mark holds an engineering degree from Cambridge University, a PhD from Southampton University and an MBA from Edinburgh University.  He is a fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
