To succeed in our mission, we are looking for an Accounts Assistant to support our Head of Finance.

Your role

You have been working as a Finance or Accounts Assistant for over three years, supporting your Finance and Operations teams in delivering accurate and timely information.

We aim to be the first disruptive brand in the construction industry, and we need your skills to help us get there. We look forward to you joining our team where we have a unique chance to be part of the change, together. 

Job Function and Responsibilities;

  • Process purchase invoices, receipts, and supplier payments accurately and timely

  • Manage the end-to-end sales ledger process including raising sales invoices and credits and chasing outstanding customer payments

  • Daily bank and expense card reconciliations, chasing missing invoices and receipts

  • Maintain accurate financial / customer / supplier data in Xero

  • Prepare the monthly payroll and quarterly VAT returns

  • Assist the Head of Finance with quarterly grant claims administration

  • Support the Head of Finance with the preparation of the monthly management accounts and sales reporting

  • Support the office teams by answering inbound calls and holiday cover for the Business Support Administrator

Our Accounts Assistant will:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in using Xero in a similar role

  • Ideally achieved / working towards the AAT qualification

  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills   

  • Excellent IT skills, specifically Excel

  • Have an eye for detail and be comfortable with reactive tasks as and when they are needed

  • A ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done well.
