The future of plasterboard
Breathaboard is a scalable, carbon sequestering alternative to one of the most widely used construction products, plasterboard.
Breathaboard can save approximately 4kg of CO2/m2 in a market of around 13bn m2. It has been recognised by construction industry professionals as a revolutionary innovation that could help to address waste issues, resource security and health in the sector.
It has enhanced thermal performance, reduces the risk of mould forming and is totally compostable at the end of its life. What is more, this product is installed in the same way as plasterboard but is lighter weight and manufactured to the same standards.
Anti-Mould
Unlike wallboard board alternatives, Breathaboard passively regulates the moisture in the internal space through its breathability and moisture buffering capabilities. This reduces pollutants in the air, the likelihood of condensation and mould or mildew occurring and occupant health problems, such as asthma.
100% Sustainable
All components are natural and sustainable. Breathaboard is completely biodegradable and non-toxic and the waste or off-cuts can even be used as a fertiliser!
Multi-Purpose
Breathaboard can be used on walls, ceilings and floors in any room of the house.
Acoustic insulation
When used in a system, Breathaboard provides enhanced airborne acoustic reduction between spaces.
Hassle-Free Installation
Installed in exactly the same way as plasterboard but is lighter weight.
Lower Fuel Bills
The insulating properties of Breathaboard provide a superior thermal performance compared to alternatives.
Fire-Resistant
Breathaboard alone or as a system provides good resistance to fire.

Our Breathaboard pilot line is currently producing the first boards, with pilot projects to be announced imminently. We have had a fantastic response from the wider market with demand very high, and so far, we are entirely subscribed until end of 2024.
