We have a pipeline of innovative, low carbon, building products that we are developing and launching in the UK and beyond. These products will play a pivotal part in the decarbonisation of buildings, and therefore our economy. Our research is pioneering in pushing the carbon envelope and in the coming years our products will evolve from being low carbon, to carbon negative. 

Our team is growing and, in order to achieve our vision, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician who will support product development within our on-site laboratories. This position will work within a team of research scientists, chemists and engineers to further develop our products.

Our Laboratory Technician will

  • Assist in developing the next generation of carbon negative building materials

  • Carry out formulation development through sample preparation and manufacture

  • Conduct product testing and data collection

  • Analyse broad data sets

  • Present lab results to the wider team

  • Have a desire to become a valuable part of a small, goal oriented team that want to make a positive impact

  • Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn

  • Be able to support other members of the team

  • Have an eye for detail

  • Commit to furthering our response to climate concerns.

Desirable attributes

  • An education in material science, construction, mechanical engineering or chemistry

  • A practical aptitude and experience of a practical/physical environment

  • Experience of working within the construction sector;

    • Development of mortars and experience of naturally derived admixes

    • Exposure to the use of lime in buildings and the use of cement
