Adaptavate selected by EIC Accelerator to scale its carbon-negative construction technology

BRISTOL, UK, February 2026. Adaptavate has been selected by the highly competitive European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator to receive €2.5 million in grant funding to accelerate the industrialisation and validation of its carbon-negative wallboard technology.

This EIC grant, combined with strong support from Adaptavate’s ongoing investment round, marks an important step forward in bringing the company's carbon-negative technology to market. It will accelerate deployment with commercial partners looking for viable pathways to transition to carbon-negative products and processes, helping make Adaptavate’s solutions available to partners worldwide.

Tom Robinson, CEO and Founder of Adaptavate, said: “This support from the EIC is a major milestone for Adaptavate and a clear validation from a highly competitive pan-European competition that our work is part of Europe’s future growth vision. We plan to use this funding to deepen our world-leading technology and use it as a foundation to license it around the world. It will be part of a €3.5 million project to deliver a key step change in efficiencies of our industrial processes, facilitating meaningful cost and carbon savings for existing manufacturing at scale. Ultimately, this grant will allow us to move faster – validating, scaling and licensing our carbon‑negative solutions so they can make a meaningful impact on decarbonising the built environment.”

The EIC Accelerator selects companies for their transformative technologies and strong commercial promise. Beyond financial support, all funded projects gain access to Business Acceleration Services, connecting them with top-level experts, investors, corporates, and innovation ecosystem players. This support will be combined with Adaptavate’s current equity raise.
