Summary
Kinu House is a thoughtfully renovated holiday home in Niseko, Japan. The project brings together carefully selected materials and trusted partners to create a comfortable, healthier living environment, while keeping the environmental impact of the renovation as low as possible.
Objective
The aim of the renovation was to create a comfortable, healthier living space using natural materials that are as pleasant to live with as they are considerate of the environment. For the interior wall finish, Breathaplasta Universal was selected for its breathability and natural composition, helping to regulate moisture and reduce the risk of mould in Niseko's climate year-round.
“We chose Breathaplasta because it's natural, breathable, and promotes a healthier indoor environment. And because it looks beautiful. It felt like the right choice for a home we wanted to feel as good as it looks.”
