Equipment required

Breathaplasta Universal
Clean water and brush or mister
Hawk, trowel and plastering tools

Recommended plaster thickness

Each coat should be up to 25mm thick.
Up to 50mm total thickness.

Coverage per 20kg Universal bag

Approx. 5 square metres at 4mm thickness

Setting time per coat

Approximately 45-60 minutes.

Surface preparation

Consolidate the wall to ensure no loose material. Dub out the masonry if needed - fill holes and level off. Surface should be uniformly flat.

Mist the surface of the masonry 10-15 mins before plaster application to help control suction.

Recommended plaster application

  1. Mix Universal to approx. 10 litres of clean water per 20kg bag of dry powder used.

  2. Mix the plaster using a paddle mix for approx. 3 minutes.

  3. Base coat/scratch coat of Universal 4-10mm.

  4. Additional coats up to 10mm thick to a max depth of 50mm. Allow approximately 1 hour to dry per 2mm thickness of plaster.

  5. Top coat approx. 4mm. Run a clean trowel over the surface of the plaster for a smooth finish. Use a sponge float for more textured finishes.

  6. For a smooth finish, moisten the top coat using a fine mist spray bottle to help polish the surface with trowel.
